The THETA Workshop will be held in the central engineering complex of the University of Bologna, an exemplary piece of 20th century architecture designed by architect Giuseppe Vaccaro and inaugurated in 1935. Characterized by ribbon windows and horizontal lines juxtaposed with the tower's abrupt verticality, this complex stands as Bologna's pioneering work of modern architecture. Comprising a spacious building tailored to the requirements of study and research, along with a red brick tower—an imposing architectural feature housing ancient books—the venue embodies both functionality and historical significance. The workshop presentations will take place in the main hall (Aula Magna) of the complex, boasting original furniture and offering a breathtaking view of Villa Cassarini's park and the city skyline.
